Alarm troubles

Set my alarm last night.. full blast.. 655am. Rudely awaken by my wife's alarm clock at 730am. Highly aggrivated that my alarm didn't go off, and that I had overslept... I go to my 8125, hit the screen button, then DING DING DING, the alarm goes off.. clock on my phone says 7:30am.. but yet the alarm says "Reminder Alarm 655am" dismiss - snooze... etc.

I mean wtf.. has anyone had this happen? It kinda worries me that it can handle so much other stuff but can't perform a simple alarm.

Just looking for a little feedback to see if anyone has had this happen as well.

Are you setting the alarm through the calendar function? My first MDA's Alarm function did not work either. All the alarms were actually alerts coming from my MSN calendar. I took it in to T-Mobile and they couldn't get it to work either. Ended up getting a new one last week and the alarm function seems to work. It sounds like you got another lemon. Make sure you check your alert settings under Settings and Clocks and Alarms.

I included this incident on a review I did a couple weeks ago.

I'm just going through the clock and clicking on the alarm tab, then setting my alarm for the day/time etc. I dunno wtf is up with em.. I just figure I'll put up with it and use my razr as my alarm lol I dunno if it has to do with it being in "locked" mode. I'm gonna try it again with "locked" and then another with "unlocked" and see if there are any differences.. kinda sucks out of all the things to have trouble with.. is the alarm haha... oh well, I guess I'd rather it be something small than big 😛

Just tested mine and it works. One thing I noticed when I set it was that I had the phone set to vibrate and it warned me that I had to turn up the volume in order to hear the alarm.

One other thing: make sure under settings/personal/Sounds & Notifications, make sure you have notifications activated.

Yup, got all those checked out ☚ī¸ I mean it's going off BUT when I hit the power button to take it out of standby.. I mean it's not everytime this happens but it happens every now and then.. say I set the alarm for 930am.. wake up at 10.. didn't hear the alarm, so I hit the power button to take it out of standby then (ring ring ring - alarm goes off) and says "Alarm - Reminder 930am"

Its like it was waiting for me to take it out of standby before it would start the alarm.. it's weird. But knowing my luck it's something I've installed that's conflicting with it.. who knows.. but thanks for giving it a shot, I really appreciate it the feedback from all!

Sorry I couldn't help. I'll try setting the alarm after it goes to power off and see if it works and let you know.

I don't think the alarm will sound if you hit the power button to lock it. I just leave my MDA on (with the backlight set to go off after a minute or so), and it goes off in the morning. Then I wake up.

Ok, you may want to check this. Dont set you alarm noification sound in notifications. You need to click on the little bell next to your setting in the clock for alarms, and chose the alarm you want there. You also need to make sure your phone sound is turned up. I hope this made sense. To test it set an alarm for like 5 min away and wait for it to go off, if it does than you set it correctly. Now rinse and repeat for the time you realy want to wake up.
