Dial-up Networking
Does anyone know if thie phone supports dial-up networking (DUN) ie using the phone as a modem for a laptop via cable or Bluetooth? PPC's are great, but they can't do everything a laptop can do, even with 5.0.
I'm specifically looking to do this with T-Mobile's MDA.

Modem Link Allows you to use your device as a modem.

What is modem link? Is it a program that is pre-installed on the phone or is it a third-party program? I haven't purchased the phone yet, so I don't know. Thanks

Can you use this phoone with your laptop to access your dial-up internet connection. I'm with Cingular & my dial-up is with MSN. I've been told by several people that this won't work. Thanks!

i think to use phone as modem, you need special subscription to pc card service, otherwise the phone data browsing plan wont let you ... atleast thats what I heard about cingular

i mean, you could use your phone as pc card, but you still need the specific service plan for it all to work. And that kinda spoils the benefit of using phone as pc card, cause if you are going to pay for seperate service plan of using pc card, why not then purchase the pc card too, so you get higher speeds than what a phone is capable of.
