This is a fairly vague subject as not many people fully understand what is happening. The thing is, Cingular bought AT&T Wireless, which has long been separated from AT&T. Cingular puirchased solely their wireless division, and SBC purchased the other portion of the company [regarding land lines, long distance and the like]. Now SBC, alongside big AT&T, will be purchasing Cingular.
