Can Transflash be used for pics?

Instead of storing only music into the Transflash card, can I use that big space for pictures and videos? Can I use that space for Ringtones instead of the iTunes music? Or does it only support the built-in 5MB for Ringtones and pictures?

Thanks.

Yeah and two more questions.

1. (If I can use the transflash for pictures) Does the iTunes have a reserved space, even though I have no music in it? i.e. 400MB for iTunes and 100MB for pics. and ringtones. Or can I use all the 512MB for pics. only?

2. Can I transfer MP3 files from my computer (in some kind of folder) so that it can be used for ringtones?

Thanks again

Answers will come to those who are patient enough to ask.

Answer 1: Yes you can use it only for pics.. I receommend getting one Transflash for Pics and Vids, and one for iTunes.

Answer 2: Yes you can do that although you can only see it as a removable drive for as long as it's updating iTunes.. But the folder is.

Mobile > Audio

I do not recommend using ful mp3's as ringtones since it will fill your Phone's Memory in one shot with maybe two songs if you are lucky.. And you have to have the song saved to your phone to use it as a ringtone...

So find a way to segment the songs into 30 second clips of a max of 140kbps.. That will sound optimal.

Thanks for the great questions..

Thanks

Now I understand why the iTunes music can't be used as ringtones. Ringtones come from the phone's memory. It makes sense though, it's faster to access while recieving a call.

So, I can store 512MB of pics and vids, sounds reasonable for a phone.

Thanks again!

Yeah,

I guess that if more people like you start listening to why there are limitations to the phone...

Less people will think it sucks when it's actaully rather well executed..

Thanks again man, my pleasure.

This phone sucks, period. Why moto will basically take the E398 and not fix it's problems or upgrade features (such as adding usb2.0) and have Apple put itunes on it, market it as a new iTunes phone is just beyond me. What is Steve Jobs thinking?? I won't be surprised if your phone would crash/reboot occasionally. It has the same buggy OS base code as the E398.

A well executed phone? I guess you haven't used any Apple product before. This phone doesn't even feel like Apple has done anything to it but rather just install their software so Cingular can sell make money off it using Apple's name. Wait till Apple really works with a cellphone company and innovate a real iTunes phone from scratch. Now that i'm sure will be a well executed pho...
