Going to voice mail instead of ringing

My wife and I both have these phones. We are on vacation in Disneyland, and for the last several days (maybe longer) when I call her phone, her phone frequently will not ring, but I will eventually get her voice mail. Sometimes I actually go to voice mail while her phone rings! Has anyone else noted this problem? I have talked to Cingular several times, and on their end, they have reset how long the phone is supposed to ring before it goes to voice mail, done resets and have had me try multiple fixes - nothing has cured the problem for good yet. They are suggesting I return her phone. Just wondering if anyone else has noted this. Also, has anyone done the Motorola update to stop the persistent ringing that occurs even after the call ...

I have had the persistent phone ringing after I hang up. A few times it is so bad turning the phone off doesn't help. I have had to remove the battery as well. What Motorola update are you talking about? I was told by Cing cust care there wasn't one yet. I am most likely returning this phone for a different model if they don't get an update.

This is supposed to take care of the constant ringing.

As a Motorola employee I would inform you of one more thing you could do...

I would perfrm a Master Reset and see if that does any good..

Menu > Settings > Initial Setup > Master Reset > and use the code 000000.. Once it reboots see if it works any better...

Thanks for your input - somewhere I stumbled across this reset (I think at the Motorola site), and I did the reset yesterday. So far it appears to have worked but we haven't used the phones much. I will post if the problem comes back. Also do you know if the Motorola update for the ROKR is supposed to fix just the persistent ringing problem or is there more to the update? It would be nice if the Motorola site specifically stated what the update does. Thanks again

Once again straight from Motorola

The software update just corrects some minor software glitchs that can't be corrected with normal tinkering..

It's a flex update..

It allows your phone to stop ringing, and that pretty much it aside from maybe some other volume or audio issues..

That is all
