usb 1.1 = LONG sync times

if you want to use the rokr with itunes, you have to connect the phone via usb. but the rokr only has usb 1.1. reviews from engadget, the wall street journal and other trusted sources state the time to transfer 100 songs (the max itunes will send to an e1) is 45 minutes to an hour! yes, you read that right. what takes about 6 minutes with an ipod shuffle takes at least 8 times longer with a rokr.

i am all for convergence, but in this case i'd say keep your current phone and buy a shuffle, or a nano. gizmodo did some math and figured out that a RAZR + a nano is still smaller than a rokr e1, offers more phone-wise, the same camera-wise and at least 4 times more song storage (with a much faster transfer time).

Okay man... People usually can't buy iPods... Most of the general populace of the States don't have the income to buy both...

This phone is slower yes but chances are you are going to load songs a few at a time and not All at once.. Plus this time differs on the file size.. If you are moving an MP3 then it will take longer than an AAC.

Read up before you make judgements but read up from the source.. Not external biased companys and or sources...

users of digital music players that use a traditional file system DO tend to add a few songs to their device at a time. but because of the way the itunes phone and other ipods sync with itunes, that is simply not the case.

apple provides a one button (autofill) interface to fill the ROKR and the shuffle with one touch. even i...

Hey man, Great argument you put up there... When it come to the main or first Autofill then yeah it can get prett hairy..

Good thing they allow you to stop it midway...

Other than that I respectfully agree with your opinion and am willing to understand what you have said...

To an extent I am not wrong, but to an extent I am very wrong... You can't be right all the time..

Thanks for the enlightenment
