HELP! ringtones

ive been able to successfully transfer mp3's to my v3c razr. the problem is that they go to the "sound" category. From there it doesn't let me assign my mp3 as a ringtone. how do i go about assigning my mp3 as a ringtone?

It is because the file is too large in my experience. A smaller MP3 should work.
