questions about verizon razor (pink)
First question: Is it normal that the screen goes blank after about 1 minute into the ohine call. When I am done with a call, I like to see how long the call was before I close the phone, but with my phone, the screen goes black, and I have to press the right hand key on the side in order to have the screen come on again. I sthis how it is supposed to be?
Second question: Why did Verizon disable the ability to have the phone vibrate and ring at the same time. What is the logic behind this?
Third Question: Is there a way to change the 5 way navigation keys to navigate where I want them to navigate?

To answer your first question-blank screen-that IS normal and the way this phone is. The Samsung SCH-a950 is the same way. As far as Vibrate + Ring-this phone does NOT have that option, but I've heard that a future software update will add this feature, but who knows. And as far as changing the navigation keys-don't think so, but I'm not 100% sure on that one. Maybe someone else can better answer that for you.

from what I have found you can only change the down arrow to something else, the right is get it now, the left is pix and flix and up is the web. cant move those as far as Ive figured out. the manual sias that you can make it ring and vibe at the same time if you have a special tone for a contactif ringer Id is ste to on, then phne on vibrate.the jury is still out on the blackout the phone does instead of a screensaver. supposed to work, but none of them do it.

well, its been 2 years since the v710 and verizon is still using the same crummy software. everything you mentioned happened on the v710 as well. don't hold your breath for a fix. as far as the selectable menu buttons go, you'd have to mod your phone to get the original motorola menu system back(instead of the slow verizon interface). the only fixes(if you want to call them that) verizon makes are the cripplings of kick ass phones.

Need to correct first statement, sorry. If you go into the tools and settings, tring styles, then changethe style to vibrate only, then down to vibrate only detail and hit change you can do what ever you want. make it ring to any tone, plus wahtever you want for just about everything else. its a little annoying, but you can make it do it.
Also I called the company(motorola) and asked them why it does what it does and thy siad its something thats not expained in the manual bt the screen light can only stay on a max of 20 seconds, and the saver doesnt come on tilll a minimun of a minute later, therefore its not going to work. its a battery saver issue that the manual doesnt tell you about at all, and it does work when the phne is plugged in...
