US Cellular and pics

Ok, I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm going to ask it again anyway.

I'm going to buy a new phone with a camera. Probably will go with the Razr V3. I know, I'm way behind not already having a camera phone. But I use US Cellular and plan on staying with them. And they(and most service providers) want you to pay to get pics from the phone to a computer. Is there something out on the internet that I can get for the phone so I don't have to pay to download pics?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I've been using the US Cellular RAZR V3c for the past month. Although it is not officially supported, Bluetooth OBEX works. What that means is that you can pair your V3c with your Mac or PC and copy your photos to your computer. Free. I'm pretty sure a USB cable will work as well. I just haven't tried that.

Verizon's V3c works the same way. Can the USCC send objects from phone-to-phone, without using a PC?

Download the firmware and flash the phone yourself with GATW_X_01.0F.02P

I have a similar problem. I have been using my USB DUN Bluetooth to connect my computer to my internet provider through my Razor. I just upgraded & found out that Verizon has blocked that service so that you have to use their system at $24 per month. Several people I talked to at verizon said there is a way to enable the feature but they don't know how to do it. Please help me. I cannot afford $300 dollars a year when my $20 bluetooth USB did the same thing.

upgrademaniac, but what you're really saying is that I would have to pay for Bluetooth every month in order to do it? I don't really have a need for Bluetooth though and try to keep my cell bills somewhat low.

Has anyone transferred pics from their phone to a pc with a USB cable, without using Bluetooth.

Thanks for the responses!

Bluetooth does not have a monthly charge.

My PowerMac G5 has Bluetooth built in. I added Bluetooth capability to my PC with a $20 D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth dongle.

On the whole, I think using Bluetooth is less hassle than trying to find the right version of Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools to enable USB cable file transfers.
