Motorola RAZR V3c

Hey Im used to Sasmung phones and this Razr is new to me but I love it so far except for one thing i cant figure out. Seems when i close the phone the external display stays lit up for an awfully long time compared to my other phones. Even the main LCD screen seems to stay lit up (blank screen though that i can see is lit up by looking through the side when its closed). I havent timed it but it seems to stay on for at least 5-10 minutes after closed. Is this normal? I cant find a setting for it either. Thanks for any info!!
