Does anyone out there know how to turn off EVDO on the phone? I am trying to conserve some battery life. Thanks.

Except that it won't work, since Menu 0 is the programming sequence for an LG instead of a motorola.

PS - sorry I only know the short programming sequence on the V3c, 74663# ok ok

That won't give you any options to turn off EVDO though.

I have tried using all of the information provided on here as well as on Howard Forums to get into this "Programming Menu" to turn off EVDO, and none of them have worked. If I try to punch in menu and then the number sequence it just recognizes the function that the phone is programmed to. For example, people say to type #073887* then type 000000 for the security code to enter the programming menu, but when I do that, all the phone does is recognize the number 3 which takes me into the "Groups"setting under contacts, and then that's it. Like I said, I tried a couple of different ones, and I tried typing it in really fast like people said, but each time it's the same result. If anyone has the trick, or knows what I am doing wrong PLEASE ...

I just took a RAZR V3c and typed #073887* without any breaks. I was prompted for a security code. I entered the 000000 security code and got the programming menu. I enabled test mode. From there, you make the change the same way you would with an 815. You change the HDR PREF to CDMA and your HDR HYBR to OFF. The difference came in exiting test mode. The RAZR uses the OK button as the menu button. For me, I just had to hit the CLR button to exit out. Good luck.
