Ok first I thik I know the answer but will my car plug and old v710 power plugs work for the Razr? I think not but I want to make sure... b. any one use bluetooth w/BMW how does it work? c. Do they make an extended life battery for v3c? and if so is it that much bulker than reg. battery? I used one on my V710 and it made it pretty bulky but not that bad... Last u guys really happy with it? Oh and 1 last thing I'm sorry.. I searched this site and I think I know the answer is yes, but can I send myself ring tonez and pic's like I did w/my v710 my cell phone # @vzwpix.com? That is one of the main reasons I got the phone (plus the cool factor) I was looking at that new pda phone where the keyboard slids out from the side (sorry I don't kn...

Power cord is different and uses USB mini and you have to use an approved charger or it will say "UNAUTHORIZED CHARGER" and will not charge.

Extended battery is fatter

Yes you can send things via vxwpix

Do I like it? IT is OK but my LG VX 7000 was much more versatile and not nearly as touchy, sensitive and quirky.

This will be the last Motorola I buy.

In response to your BMW/bluetooth question. I just bought a BMW 6 weeks ago and it pairs up with my v3c perfectly.

Just pair it by turning on bluetooth, searching for devices and it'll find your BMW bluetooth system. Pair and you can now send, receive calls through your BMW.

Also, it sends the contacts over if you have the navigation system so you can use iDrive to select or voice dial the contact.

Thanks yes I know, I always had my V710 w/my bmw 5. I just got my Razr and I think it actually works better than the v710 did, sometimes it took a few minutes to sink, but as soon as I turn the key it seems the Razr is ready to go with my car...

i believe the word you're looking for is "sync", not "sink". you may have a beamer, but ya didn't use your brains to get it.

Okay, okay ... easy easy. So what if he spelled it wrong, just keep it friendly would ya. No need to hate on others for spelling things wrong, people start off being noobs and guess what, I still am.

The question was posted and I answered it since I have experience with his question, that's the purpose of a forum, to discuss and answer questions, not to make fun of people.

I always asked questions before purchasing my v3c with the .03 software b/c I was worried that it wouldn't work in my car. And since it did, I figured I'd answer his question about syncing it up.

Thank you... and funny thing after I left work today and got into my car, the phone worked and everything was on my idrive except my phone book, non of the names where there... I hope it works tomorrow...

Also I read here that you can answer the phone while it is closed by hitting the side button on the left under the volume button... I made sure the setting was on multi answer but it still didn't work... any ideas? Or does this not work?

Once you pair the v3c with your car, then it should automatically send your contacts to iDrive so you can view and dial from there.

And yes, once you receive a phone call, the car will lower the music and will make a loud beep noise. iDrive will notify you that you have a caller and if the caller is stored in iDrive, it will display the name. Just like using your phone, but through iDrive. You can use the iDrive circular thing in the middle or, like u stated, the voice button on the steering wheel next to the volume buttons.

Ya I have had it with my V710 for almost a year, it worked great.. well sometimes there would be @ signs connected to the names (ex John@ 000 000 0000) but so far the Razr has worked with out a problem (well except for yesterday the phone book being empty) I love that option on my car..... I just wish the text messages worked like it does on the BMW phone ☹️ I am on a bmw forum and people love that option
