Why change V3c Razr interface from Verizon to Alltel?

I am thinking of upgrading from my VZW V710 to a Razr V3c, but everyone seems to complain about the VZW user interface. I read a wiki on how to change the interface to Alltel -- what advantages does the Alltel interface have? what extra functionality would my V3c have?

Thanks!

you gain full bluetooth functionality ,but you lose access to vcast you can send and recive txt and pix and access mobile web and you can customise everything on the phone , some people prefer the original motorola interface to the verizon one

I have a related question, If I can get my hands on one V3C unlocked from Alltel, can I do the ESN change to make it work on my Verizon line and with the Bluetooth be 100%OBEX.

Any pros and cons for doing this switch?

Thanks All 🙂

I've read that doing *228 to update the prl on a verizon v3c with an alltel flash will mess up data settings, will *228 and the activate option mess it up as well? I would like to esn swap between phones once in a while.
