Returned V3c got E815

I just returned my RAZR for the E815. I must admit the RAZR sure was a sexier device but it was poorly put into service. The bluetooth on it kept dropping connections and you would have to sometimes re-pair the device or turn the phone on/off. The menu system is also very poor. Plus the issues with the loose keypad. I really wanted to like that device but the bluetooth issue was just too much. You can read more about the bluetooth issue at Howard Forums. It doesn't seem to be isolated and it will probably be months before Verizon/Motorola get their act together on a software update. This is assuming it is a software update.

So far the E815 is nice...I have always like Moto products so it was very disappointing to trade the RAZR......

Most of your issues can be attributed to Verizon making tweaks to the stock Moto software and also to the Verizon UI. The Alltel and US Cellular RAZRs have been excellent.

what do you mean by "go full"?

By "go full", I believe they mean no red bars on top and bottom. The Razr does have this as that is the new Verizon UI, the 815 does not because it has the Moto UI. All Verizon phones from now on out will have the Verizon UI.

Ditto here.... Loved the phone, altough it NEEDS a Transflash slot and flash for camera would also be nice.... but the VZW UI was the deal breaker!!!!!!!!

Btw, they are putting it on all their phones in the future, other than Windows Mobile phones.

I'm keeping my RAZR. The 815 is a great phone, but I don't think that after experiencing the ease of carrying the RAZR I'll ever go back to a larger phone.

All I use a cell phone for is to make phone calls and my RAZR has done just fine with that.

Piece of Crap!
Loose Keyboard,
Bluetooth kept droppin,
Buggy software,
Ringers coming out of the wrong speaker,
Horrible Grey color,
Weird buzzing sound from the ear piece.

Leave it to Verizon to F#$K and disapoint thousands of customers by screwing up one of the coolest and best selling phones of all time.
Luckily I found a sucker to by it off me and went back to my disables but still working V710.

i agree with your concerns...but some of the issues can be resolved if you are lucky enough like me to get a solid phone 3rd time around. the software stuff...hopefully an update soon.

The bluetooth hopefully is software but I use my headset too much to wait for a fix. It could take weeks if not months. This bluetooth connection issue seems to be growing. Check howardforums.

Again, I really would rather have the RAZR but only if it functions correctly.

The E815 is bigger but solid. Bluetooth has not dropped once and I can sync contacts with Lotus Notes via MPTs via bluetooth with no seem edits.
