Moto Will Install UI???

I read a thread somewhere in which someone claimed they called Motorola and was told that Motorola would install the standard moto UI on the razr if you sent it to them. Can anyone confirm this or is this too good to be true?

I tried calling but got put on a really long hold and had to hang up to make a phone call.

😢 No my friend they wont. I purchase this phone today and to my big surprise the UI is horrible on this phone. I call motorola today and they said that there is nothing they can do about it. From now on all the VERIZON phones including ALL THE MOTOROLAS will have this UI. This info was given to me from the rep at motorola. In my opinion THIS SUCKS because I love a good motorola phone, not a motorola body with LG brains. Shame on you verizon. Im taking it back and gettin the E815 which will be the last motorola from verizon that will have that dope UI. 👿 👿 👿

You guys are funny 🤣 ! I don't understand what's so bad about the Verizon UI. Yes I've seen the Motorola UI and I do enjoy the graphics, it's similar to the LG UI 🙄 . However, I don't see the big deal with having the Verizon interface. It just takes some getting used to. Everything takes time to get use to when it's new. Just open yourselves up to it, you'll find it's really not that bad. I've been using it for over a year now and I don't know what I was so upset over before. 🙂

its not the looks that matter to me its the I can't choose where my menus go I like down on the pad to be my phonebook and messages on the right soft key I've bought only motos just for this reason
It is a big deal especially when the V3C comes with the standard menu on any other carrier yet I'm forced with something I don't want due to carriers choice... but the last time I check vzw was a carrier not a software manufactor

Oooooooooh I see, I thought the issue was little stuff like changing the looks of the menu from icons to lists. Things like that. Ok, just from that brief discription you gave I can see why that can be an issue, but would you rather have a phone that you can customize ...

That is VERY true... they are just a carrier and not a software manufacturer... But they are also a carrier and not a phone manufacturer either, but they still decide which phones make it to the market for them and which do not... so that trumps your idea they should not be able to choose which UI they want in the phones that bear their name. If you do not like it, you can always switch your carrier so you can get a Razr with the traditional UI... If you bought the Razr you must be able to either get out of the contract, or to pay the early termination fee... Thanks!

Not if you cancel before the 15 trial period.
