How do you send ringtones to your phone?

Will anyone post some instructions on how to send mp3s or other sound files from your computer to your phone using email.What format do they need to be, and how big can they be?

We did answer on your last post. There's a huge thread that may be helpful for you to read on.

Let's say you want to send Silent Night to your phone. All you need to do is save the file as silentnight.mid. (.mid sounds better to me than the mp3) Go into your email and attach the file and send to your10digitphonenumber@vzwpix.com. When you get the picture message view it and select options and #6 to save sound. Ta Da you now can select that ring for ringer ids.

You can also use Mobile Phone Tools. It has options for trimming .mp3's to whatever length you want. Then transfer to phone...they will be in your ringtones folder and change your ring type setting from the phone.

How do you convert mp3 file to .mid??

MP3 files sound like crap on the Razr

all you do is rename it. 'song title'.mid instead of s'ong title'.mp3 its that easy. 😉

so you don't REALLY convert the song from a mp3? Simply renameing does the trick?

Obviously, I don't know enough about digital music file formats because this doesn't make sense to me.

Let me know if this really worked. I have the verizon version of the razr v3c and when I tried this (just renaming the mp3 to mid) it did not work for me. I convert my mp3 files to mono midi files and they work great.

how come it comes from the wrong speaker? (the earpiece instead of the back speaker)

actually i think i figured it out... if u put ur settings on speakerphone the ringtone will come out from the back.. but then u'll be on speaker which i dont like.. u'd have to go through the hassel of turning off the speaker everytime.. hmm.. trying to find a way how to leave it loud plus 0 or low speaker .. any help

Yeah...I used to be able to click on the song and it would save the clip to my computer - now it just starts playing in windows media. Did Walmart change their policy, or is there another way to do it that I'm missing?
