Go to www.sonyericsson.com and download the PC suite. But... you need to have a USB cable, buetooth on the PC, or infrared on the PC. I have an old sony laptop, so I just used the IR-- a bit slow, but worked without hassle. The PC software adds a folder to explorer (file explorer) and treats the phone as if it were a USB drive.

I copied a small 500KB MP3 over and it played ok-- I just need to figure out how to turn the volume on the speaker down.

I just got a Zonet bluetooth adapter from newegg for $20. When you install it, you'll see My Bluetooh Places. The file structure is in there and you can just copy files to it or make your own directories. PC suite crashes every time I try to use it, so it's my only option anyway.

What's the model number? There are two popular $20 models.
Thanks

It's been mentioned before, but you need a usb cable, bluetooth, or IR.

BTW, I do not recommend putting full quality full length songs on the phone. You can only put maybe 4 on it and will not be able to use it as a media player to its full potential. Just stick to putting mp3 ringtones on it.

I've been creating my own song ringtones. I take a song that I have on my computer, trim it to what I like, then I use the upload shack on www.zedge.no to upload my ringtone. Then I go to the wap website on my phone and download it. It can be a hassle sometimes, but the ringtones I've been able to create sound a lot better than anything I could buy. But like another person said, I wouldn't download an entire song to your phone it will probably use up all of your phone's memory. Even the "snippets" that I've made sometimes take up a lot of memory. Hope this helps!

I've made a few of my own ringtones as well from full length songs. I'm pretty good with audio cutting so I've made some good simple edits that work well, and the compression I use makes for small files. Probably my biggest one is 1 minute long at 477 kb (longer than the phone will ring, to be perfectly honest).

BTW, if you have a midi you want to use...don't bother. The midi on this phone sounds like pure crap for most midi songs I've uploaded to my phone. Convert it to mp3 on your computer and trim as needed.

If you are referring to purchased WMAs, you will not find any audio editing software that will load these anywhere. These files are encrypted and you need a license to decrypt them, plus microsoft will go after anyone who makes software to decrypt the file for the purpose of converting it or modifying it. There is a way around this. Google provides all kinds of info on this.

If you are referring to other WMAs which were not purchosed and do not require a license/do not contain DRM, you may be able to load a WMA driver for audacity, or you may just need to conver the WMA to WAV or MP3.
