disable the camera

When I hold the phone, I keep hitting the camera button on the side and taking accidental pictures. Has anyone figured out how to disable the camera? Thanks.

I know what you mean. The phone is so small, it's hard to hold the phone and NOT put your fingers on a side button. I have taken many pictures on accident as well.

I love the phone though, so it's not that big of a deal for me.

I was wondering the same thing, but I don't think this can be done. I just had to exchange mine because the camera button was so sensitive that it would take pictures in my pocket as I was walking. The new phone does not have this problem, but is still easy to accidently take a picture when holding the phone. Is there any way that SE could possible offer a software update that would allow us to lock the camera? If so, how would we get the new software on our phones? I still love the phone's form and function though (other than the camera)!

Yeah, I've contacted SR support and they
said there was no way to disable the
camera button. Come on SE, give us a
firmware rev!

I still might return it because of the
annoying camera button issue, but if I
want quad band and bluetooth I'd have to
jump to a RAZR or the Samsung D307.
