I have the z500a and its been giving me problems. I want to do an insurance claim on it but I've seen where its been phased out of cingulars portfolio. Does this mean if I do the claim then they will replace my phone with this z520a?

No, they will most definately send you a Z500a that has been factory refurbished, minus the front and rear cover, and battery. Just the unit itself. I have a Z500a too and can't wait to upgrade to the Z520a
