cingular did not disable EDGE, the phone does not come with edge from sony ericsson. i guess you could blame cingular for picking up the phone, if, in fact they actually launch it. however cingular still has edge, and they have many phones with edge.

Edge is not that much of a deal as people(You) make it seem.GPRS will just fine for me.
