HOW old are you?? If you're old enough to have a cell phone, you ought to be old enough to have a job! I wouldn't pay the 50 bucks either if it were one of my 3 children. However, I know that's not what you want to hear. Are you in a contract still? You could always go through another carrier? The 50.00 is good for a deductible (like any insurance company... if you get in a wreck, you have to pay your deductible. same thing with your home owners insurace... you have to pay a deductible). My deductible is 100.00 for the w600!!! I suggest getting a job or working for you dad to pay the 50 bucks. Mow the yard, take out the trash, clean the house, wash the cars, walk the dog, feed the dog, I mean come on there is a thousand things you ...

I have no idea. But Suncom told me it was 100.00 deductible. It could be the carrier. I have a 500.00 deductible on our vehicles, but my friend has a 250.00 - so I guess it just depends how much you pay for insurance and stuff too maybe?? If you find out a good explanation - let me know 🙂 . So, how'd ya get your 50 bucks? Did you work hard 😉 . Glad to know it's on it's way.

I'm glad you said something. I called Suncom and they said it was 75.00 for a replacement and 5.00 per month for the insurance. They said your carrier (cingular??) may go through a different insurance company. She said this company is instant... you call, they give you a claim number, then you go to the store then and pick up your new phone. No waiting. I'm not sure if I want to pay 5.00 per month for insurance (actually, 10 per month because my husband has the same phone). What's a person to do???? 😕

Ok, so now I called Suncom's insurance company and they said Suncom sets the price. Suncom now says it's 100.00 deductible! HOW frustrating!!!! So... do I buy insurance or not? LOL

I wonder if you can buy the insurance on one phone and then just claim it on whatever phone misses up. I don't know if they keep a serial number or anything. They don't know which phone you use or which one your husband uses??

Maybe if the kid was paying for the phone himself he wouldn't lose it so easily? How can you lose a freakin' cellphone? Especially one that expensive????????? If he payed his hard earned money I bet he would keep a better watch on it!! 😳

OK before you jump to conclusions on how I lost the phone,.. let me tell you. I don't live in a great neighborhood, and i forgot to lock the door, when i came home from school, my phone was gone along with my pda, wallet camera and about everything else electronic so it wasn't like i went to the mall and left it on a clothing rack. and it was my "hard earned money" ,..i paid for the phone .

Just a heads up, with lockline (cingular) you will recieve a refurbished phone whenever you do a claim!

just tell them the phone sux when you get. turn the phone off when they do a test call to see if it has service at your house. they should not only send you a new one, but also credit your account for the deductible. it's that simple. Learn to think like a salesmen. After all this is not cingulars deductible, but locklines and cingular should credit you for this after all we do pay hundreds even thousands per year just to use the things. Keep calling customer care until you get a rep who will help you out. If you are not the type who likes to be shady then kill them with kindness. I.E. you will get more flys with honey than with vinegar.

$50 for Insurance, yet free warranty exchange. You probably did warranty exchanges before, but this is different...it is insurance. Open a lemonade stand or something.
