entering a 1 in a text message in alpha mode
when creating a txt message, while in any alpha mode (aba, Abc, ABC), you can't enter the numeral 1. you can enter every other number, including 0, by simply pressing the corresponding alpha key enough times to scroll through the other alpha choices. but not so for the 1 key. to get a one you have to go into numeric (123) mode.
this seems so ridiculous to me. my girlfriend and i recently both got this phone. i transferred over from cingular, she upgraded from her previous verizon phone. she says she was unable to do this on her previous verizon phone. to enter a "1" in a text message she has to enter 123 mode.
are we just missing something? on my old cingular nokia phone i simply had to push the 1 button a number of times to scroll through all the punctuation options. which is what you can do on this phone for every other number.
did they just have a brain-fade when coding this interface? or is it a miracle that you can enter any numbers at all in alpha mode?
very bizarre...and stupid!
