RadioShack has it

I work at a RadioShack in western KY, and we just got two of these phones in yesterday. Its $349 outright, $150 for a new 2 yr agreement or upgrade. For that price i would rather get a E815. The only extra thing on here that might make it even be worth payin $49 for it on a new 2yr/upgrade is the handwriting messaging. We noticed that you can write somethng on a piece of paper and take a pic of it as a new handwriting message, that it will take a pic of whatever you wrote then send it as a text message. No external color display, or external picture caller id display. Black and white camera display when phone is closed in camera mode. Just a basic hopefully soon to drop to possibly $29 with 2yr/upgrade to have any sales at all, phone.

Have to agree... it looks like a good midrange phone, but they're asking too much money for it.

Maybe i'll wait around for the Nokia 6256i.

I was near a Best Buy this evening, and checked out the 850. I don't know if it was on sale or anything, but the pricing there was MUCH better than what you say Radio Shack is charging.

They wanted $199 retail, or $99 for a new 2 yr contract or upgrade. That's about right for this phone. 🙂

I'd also have to say that I was impressed with the build quality... the phone felt very solid.

Much better price than what were currently charging. its a decent phone. not bad, not good. just not for me. it will and should eventually go down.

now with the e815 out, the v710 dropped in price too. was the same for as the 815 for a while but the v710 just dropped bein a discontinued phone now.

im a sprint user myself. sanyo vm4500 for almost a year now. either goin to the mm-a700, mm-5600, mm-8300, lg mm-535, mm-a800, or audiovox ppc-6600/6700. what do you use?

I have Verizon out here in the SF/SJ Bay Area in California. I use an 'old school' Samsung 530, which has worked very reliably for me.

Am going to upgrade soon though, because I really want a speakerphone. My next phone will very likely either be a Nokia 6256i or Samsung 850, depending on how long Nokia & VZW drag ass on getting their phone out.
