The liquid damage has probably killed it. But make sure the flex cable (ribbon cable) is connected correctly. There is a old wifes tale that putting a cell hone in a food dehydrator for an hour or so will help clear some liquid damage issues. I haven't tried this so I'm not responsible if it turns into jerky.
