Call forwarding issue

I will often forward my calls from my Blackberry to a land line while in the office. Unfortunately, there is a problem with this that Verizon acknowledges and for which it does not have a fix (or an intention to fix, it seems). Here's the situation... somebody calls my Blackberry and it forwards to a land line- no problem. While on the call on my land line, somebody else calls the Blackberry. The 2nd caller gets a busy signal- no call waiting, no voice mail, etc. This happens regardless of what line I am forwarding the Blackberry to. Verizon tech support acknowledges that when a call is forwarded, while that call is in progress any additional callers will always get a busy signal.

Not sure but I have also discovered that this happens with my Verizon (non Blackberry) phone.
You would think they would want to fix this so they could charge air time for each call forwarded.

Missed revenue stream.
