I like the phone. Ya its the same model basically as the 8100,8200 but I just love Sanyo phones. The 5600 was weak though. Why don't you like it guy?

Probobly because it brings nothing to the table NEW from the 8200 than removable faceplates and MM features, 2 years later.

why do you think that the 8300 can compare to the 7400 they are in totally different makes of phones. the 8300 is a great upgrade to the 8200, but the 7400 is going to be better because of the line that is follows.

I like it also!! I've been having a few problems with my 8200 plus someone dropped it and there is a big chip in it and you see this white spot where it should be blue as you open up the phone. One the Sanyo site I didn't really care for the faceplate's on the phone but here it looked OK. My upgrade is up in November and so far I am aiming towards the 8300. I like a couple features that the 7400 has but the 8300 is smaller and I like that. I know there's not much difference coming from the 8200 except for MM/and Video and the faceplate's and it has a 2MB memory. Anyone know how much memory the 8200 has? I don't know where to look to find out and here it doesn't say. One thing I would love to see though it isn't happening is blue keypads i...

5600 WEAK??? Far from it my friend. What was weak about it? The MP3 player, the sweet voice-activated dialing, the 262K screen, the 1.3 mp camera, ready link, or the mini-sd card slot w/ expansion up to 1GB. Oh, I guess you could be referring to the GPS voice guided navigation... the whole set-up is just weak!LMAO 🤣 Let me guess, you're the guy rolling w/ the freebie Nokia?

And what would you like in addition to your full color screens, speakerphone, video-capture, digital stills, and changeable faceplates? A phaser array? Missile launcher? Pfft. 🙄

Pfft yourself. 🙄 It's called getting more bang for your buck. This phone isn't even an upgrade, please. It's just Sprint trying to fool people that it is.

You're full of it. This is definitely an upgrade. Do a side by side comparison, and then understand that this is a mid-range handset.

To me it's an upgrade Video Camera twice as much memory and I think the screen size is bigger.. And I heard the earpiece and speaker are better that they have the 5600 chipset in it. So will see!! I am definately getting one.. Oh and the faceplates!! :-)

2mb of memory is not really an upgrade considering most Sanyos come with 3mb of memory, which is still not enoughspace for a multimedia phone. But thats just my opinion.

Dude...can u read?

1. This phone has 15 FPS vs the NO FPS in the 8200...the 8200 has more of a Frames Per Minute then a Frames Per Second.

2. The 8200 has 1 MB of Memory...trust me I have one...(thinking of getting the 8300 instead) the 8300 has 2 MB

3. 30 more minutes of Talktime..and trust me..this is important..I work at a theme park...and I cant pull my cell phone out while in the park...unless its closed..which I do..and I could use an extra 30 mins of talktime

4. Multimedia Function...

5. Like I said I have the 8200 and it has HORRIBLE reception..I can be on I-75 in Ohio and only have 2 bars out of 4, my dad has the VM-4500 and he gets 4 bars most of the time...which im hoping to find that strong of reception in the MM-...

Yeah I caught all of that. This looks like a nice phone and I'm thinking of getting it. But i was saying that it doesnt have an advantage over the 7400 as far as memory goes.

yeah and the 7400 is also the second from the top phone sanyo offers. not to mention that the 7400 costs quite a bit more, last i checked the 7400 was still hovering around $400. the 8300 is sanyo's mid range phone so expect it to have mid range features. that said $300 for everything that this offers is pretty good, if you want the features of a 7400 then pay the extra $100, or better yet pay the extra $30 above that and get the 5600.

Don't set your sites so low, my phaser-firing friend. There's also Bluetooth and a PDA. But hey... if this does it for you, go for it!

I never said this phone does anything for me. It doesn't. I'm just pointing out it's a mid-range model. Nothing more.
