are there compatability issues with 1gb microsd?

i had a 512 microsd card and was able to take pics and save to the card without issues. i tried several 1gb microsd cards and when i try to save to the card directly it gives a "camera error 37"

if i save to the pic to the phone mem and then move it to the microsd, it works properly.

any ideas? firmware update?

I have a 2gb card in my phone. Haven't heard about camera error 37. I hope since it's been a few months that your problem is solved!

I have read that people have used a 1gb card, but I used one and my mp3s wouldn't show up on the phone, then while trying to record video i would get that camera error you mentioned after 8 seconds of recording. I swapped it out with an old 256mb card and it works flawlessly. There definitely was an issue, and I doubt anymore firmware releases will happen being Verizon discontinued the phone. I had this problem with the y24 firmware, there is a newer one which I have, it has 08 in the release name of it I can't remember the whole thing but I haven't tried it out yet being i just use the phone for the recording and pictures 256 is big enough for me.

Well, I tried out my 1gb card again, it shows the mp3s but I have issues while trying to play them, I have to skip to the next track and go back to the previous to play the song I want. I just put my 256 card back in again, I have an ipod already so it's not a big deal for me. Prehaps it's the brand I am using for my 1gb, Kingston, I don't know.
