this phone sucks.. the menus are slow, but the worst thing is that dust gets caught between the outer display and the protective glass and you can't get it out... I've only had it for 3 weeks and its getting worse and worse... if you want a phone that looks like as$ then buy it. what a mistake.. and now the 15-day trial is over. i'm an idiot.

I've had the phone for 2 months with no problems. I would bring the phone to Verizon and try and get another one since you are still covered under the 1 yr warranty.

Regarding the ring tones not being loud enough, this is only true when you use the ring tones that come with the phone. On ring tones you download, some are loud enough and some are not, but I do not recommend them because they are crummy otherwise. On ring tones you record yourself, their loudness depends on how loud they are when you record them. I have recorded some at such a high level that when I use them as ring tones I have to set the ring volume to "low"...like Hank Williams wailing "Lovesick Blues" and Louis Armstrong blaring out "Back Home Again In Indiana."

I think the ringtones that came with the phone are loud and those tones that can be downloaded via VZW Tones are somewhat low. I downloaded What You Know by TI and Cosmic Monkey by Paul Brown and both those ringtones are low I feel.

I don't have any dust in mine. Maybe yours is a defective phone. I would definitely take it back to the store and show them.

Dust in your screen? That has got to bite. Wait, I know how that could have been rectified, if you had bought something to protect your $250 investment. Verizon probably won't exchange your phone because VZW doesn't exchange for cosmetic problems, which, like I said before could have been avoided if you had popped down $19.99 for a leather case for your $250 dollar phone.
