Anyone using this phone with the navigation download? If so, how do you like it, how does it work when in the car, how is battery life, pros/cons, etc.

I got mine last night, so far it is great.I haven't had time to play with all the features yet. Yes it works in the car, it must work through the phone network not GPS sat's, it is accurate. Used it to get from work to my bank, about a 30 min drive and it was right on,only problem I see so far it doesn't seem to allow you to chose your route, it says go here ect, not the way I may want to go. But it works fine calls the turns for in advance ect. Just great for a new product

Thanks for the reply; that was one thing I was wondering about, whether it worked via the phone or sats like other GPS units; obviously must be the phone system. FYI, I believe I read you can adjust the route. I found this link, it has some FAQs

After I purchased the phone this was the first feature that I tested out. The VZ Navigator worked great in my area. I even selected a hard location which required a U turn to get to the location and it worked great. My wife was originally against getting the phone but after she tried the Nav feature on the phone to get home (to test out the feature) she was impressed and changed her mind about the purchase.

Thanks for posting your reviews on the navigator function. When trying to decide if I should buy this phone, I found very little information from users who had actually used it. My question for you all is if I have to actually subscribe to this feature in order to download it and look at the settings? I went to the FAQ section last night and followed the instructions, but the only option I have is to subscribe to it, there isn't a option to just download the feature. The reason is that I may not need to use this for quite a while, but I would like to know how to use it before I shell out that three dollars and be busy with where I am going!

It is an excellent feature; very well done. You dont need to subscribe long term--you can purchase 24 hour blocks of use for $2.99. When you sign on to VZ navigator it will give you this option. The first time you sign on it will d/l a bunch of software. After 24 hours is up, your access will expire and it will ask you if you want to purchase more. Try it once--you will love it.

works great, was feature that made me buy phone, along with rubber case....but it costs a lot to use it, not only 9.99 a month, or 2.99 for 24 hours, but you also pay for usage per minute...go get a real GPS for 300 bills, it will pay for itself in time...but in a pinch, it works great, and you can use the trial for like 3 days at first, then use it on an as needed basis...I had a Gig in NYC last month, and no one printed directions...i launched VZ Navigator for the 24 hour time, and aside from the fact that ground zero screwed up the roads around the area, it found the club pretty easily!
