Ringer Volume button sounds

I have a new V325, and I noticed that when I use the volume button on the left side of the phone to turn up the volume of the ringer, the phone makes a horribly loud bleep sound every time I press it. It doesn't make this sound when I turn the ringer volume down, but it does make it when I turn the ringer volume up. How can I disable this sound?

(I like to turn the ringer off when I go to restaurants and movies, but I turn it back up again when I leave, and hearing that sound with every push of the volume button is very annoying. The only sound I want my phone to make is when someone calls me!)

Hum... I may have figured out the answer to my own question. (I just got this phone yesterday so I haven't played with it much.)

It seems that if I simply turn the volume down and then back up again right away, it makes the sound that I reported, but if I turn the volume to the "all off" position and then wait a few seconds for the screen to go away and THEN turn it back up again, it DOESN'T make the sound...

This seems like a strange function to me, but I'm glad I finally figured out how to avoid that annoying sound. I guess the purpose of the sound is to give you an idea of how loud your ring will be... but as people have already poing out, the ringers are not all the sound loudness!

You can also change your ringer by pressing the up and down volume keys on the side of your phone then hitting the speaker phone button, while it is closed.
