I have what I would think would be a simple question, but from what i've read, its not.
I live in Jackson, MS. I plan to get this phone very soon. My question is, will I, or will I not have coverage, regardless of roaming or not.

You will be able to use it I am sure. I dont know what kind of network Jackson has, but if T-Mobile is there at all, then that guarantees that the 1900 band is there which is what you will need to have to use the phone in the US.

Coverage is dependant first on your carrier and then on your phone. That being said, without knowing who your carrier is, its impossible to know for sure.
On the other hand - Jackson isn't exactly a blip on the map, so I think you should be fine.
