Now why does this handset ring a bell...?

Hey! Is it me or does this thing look like the i95cl? Very nice. Smaller to boot.

this is a completely seperate phone from the i95cl, although the end result is similar, the original concept was more similar to the v551 on cingular...basically, moto did what they needed to migrate that phone's features onto nextel

This phone offers something the v551 doesn't have...the ability to create talk groups on the fly. I used it for a while to talk with family a lot easier and cheaper.

that was one of the things that was added in the conversion process...the v551 doesn't have PTT so how could it have groups, on the fly or not?

it's great that you've used this phone, it allows you to understand what we're saying here alot better...but if you've never seen the v551 in person then please sit back and listen...your info is only valuable to you

this thread has moved towards comparing the v551 and the i855...any1 who's seen both please offer your opinions

I have the v551 and ive used the i850 briefly and your right now that i think about it they are pretty similiar the i850 is just a buffed up version although the v551 is a defective phone in my opinion ive owned over 9 and they just dont work but the i850 seems solid
