Speakerphone is controlled only via menu and available ONLY while "in a call", ie. AFTER you hit "TALK". It takes 2 key strokes to activate or deactivate.
Use keys: "Options" (right soft key) then "1" or "OK"

There is no external Speakerphone button, Confused .
but the very small size makes up for the key sequence which can be done in your sleep after you do it a couple times.

Speakerphone output was usually good but only sometimes sounds 'rattley' if raised to highest volume... not yet sure if really fault of the other party sound quality.

We've had the A880 for 3 weeks now and love it. It has excellent send/receive sound quality and we get MORE SIGNAL BARS than ever before.

Sprint service in Minneapolis Region has been very good for 5 years.
