How the hell do you make the green light (red when there is a message) stop blinking???

Easy.

Hit: Menu, Settings, Display, Status Light, and Select Off.

Red (new message) light still wont turn off when status light is set to OFF.

you go into your settings and you can turn it off but its in your book
