UTStarcom CDM-8945 / PN-230

I looked at this phone at the Verizon store. Sure it does have a unique black housing, but overall it feels very cheap. The green backlighting is rather poor, the outer screen is stuck with the Verizon logo. It does have V-Cast music and some other nice features but when compared to other phones, the price is not at all warranted. The E815 which is a vastly superior phone is $70 cheaper right now. The LG VX-8100 and Samsung A950 have V-Cast music, alternate being cheaper than this phone, both are better built, and have more features than this one. Sure the 8945 might be a decent phone, but for the price I can't see why anyone would pick it over the Motorola, LG or Samsung or even the older more feature rich 8940 on clearance for cheaper.
