will this phone read a 2gb card? if so does it read only 1gb worth of info, or is there a way to make it use 2 gb

No, I don't think the 9800 will support 2 gigs and if you were to try, i think the phone would shut down on you or recycle through the welcome screen.

Version 5 of the firmware supposedly supports 2 Gig cards (although any one sub on the card cannot exceed a Gig - i.e. MY MP3s, MY FLIX, etc,). Versions below 5 do not support 2 anything over a 1 Gig.

Yes, a sales rep at a Verizon store who owns the 9800 said that she had 2 gig card in her phone but i didn't see it so i can't verify it but she did have som enice tv shows ripped onto her phone such as a Dave Chappelle show and some South Park. I'd love to do that also w/ certain movies and tv shows, but i dont really knoow how to Rip anything succesffully and it just takes up way too much memory space on my 1 gig card. Unfortunatley.
