Have you seen the 9900's competition. What do you think about it?

The clamshell design, Qwerty, and the dual hinges are what stand out most to me? I love flip phones but gave that up when I got the 9800 because I wanted a Qwerty keyboard. I don't think I would dump my phone for that one but I really like it though.

Personally, I think this is an inferior way to implement a QWERTY keyboard. And I'm not saying this because I want to detract from Samsung. I've had the SCH-a530 for some years now and it's been a real champ. And I think Samsung generally makes very good products. I'd like to see them come out with a *communicator* style phone like “The V” or the Nokia Communicators. There's a lot to be said for dual keyboards — an external one for phone calls and the internal one (primarily) for text. Also, having a separate internal screen that one can keep free of ear skin oil is a nice plus. With a little care, the internal screen on communicators can be kept pretty chrystal clean on an ongoing basis. Just my 2¢.

I hope your fingers are tiny! A full grown man would not be able to use that, so I'll stick to the LG VX9900 for my wish list.
