OK, I have the 02 S/W version LG VX9800 which everyone says to keep (vs. upgrading to S/W 05)because the 02 will play MP3s. Verizon says that 05 will also play MP3s but I have heard otherwise. Do I upgrade to 05 or can someone out there give me a helping hand loading an MP3 into my phone. Tried dragging a song from a CD to the memory card but the message I get when I click on My MP3s in the phone is that no songs found in memory card. The memory card was formatted. The phone is set to MOD/MP3. I have tried going through Windows Media Player, etc. Hope to hear from someone who is familiar with this and can maybe call me on the phone to walk me through this.

I've got the V. 05 software on my 9800 and it's pretty easy. I use limewire or my friends I-Tunes and just go to the music library section of the software and hit the expolore button on my Limewire which brings up all of my song files. From this point I just literally drap and drop each MP3 file or a group of them at once from the library section of Limewire to MY MP3 folder on my MINI SD card. then put it back into my phone and it's all there. YOu can choose...

Okay try this:

1) forget everything else you’ve done.
2) Verify that the phone is set to MOD & MP3.
3) Insert the card and go to SETTINGS & TOOLS, SYSTEM, MANAGE MEMORY,CARD MEMORY – select the right softkey (OPTIONS) and FORMAT – the phone should ask for your security code (default is last 4 digits of phone number). WARNING!! You will lose everything you have on the CARD!!!
4) Go to GET TUNES & TONES and verify you have a MY MP3s entry.
5) Verify that the files you have actually ARE MP3s and not just files with an MP3 extension, and that there is no DRM encoding on the files (i.e. they didn’t come from Itunes or other such idiotic sources), and that the file names are less than 40 characters. If you want something to test with RIP ...

Thanks for your response. I was able to put some MP3s on to my phone (finally). Now I can't get my phone to send the song to my Bluetooth.
