Bitpim won't recognize my phone, please help

I can't get bitpim to recognize my phone at all when it was just working fine yesterday. Can someone please help me with this problem? I am using the new 9.03 version of Bitpim. Also when I was putting ringtones on my phone yesterday with Bitpim it worked fine but when I went to check them under tunes & tones it would restart the phone. Does anyone know how to fix this also? Thanks for you help.
