i'm going to be purchasing this phone this week and i was just wondering is it very complicated and difficult to put mp3 onto the phone

if you have a miniSD card and a miniSD adaptor if is easier than putting music on your ipod.

just drag and drop into the MY_MP3 folder, plug and play. you are set

no WMA issues and hacks like the 8100?

i do not know much about the 8100

but i do not think the lgvx9800-v01 or v02 can play wma files. but i know that if you upgrade to v03, you cannot play mp3s anymore, but instead wma.

Hacks? i dont know any hacks personally. what kind of hacks did the 8100 have?

At THIS POINT IN TIME there are no issues like the 8100. The issues with the 8100 were the result of Verizon changing the default format for music files from MP3 to WMA -- By the question I'll assume you are aware that this was a minor nuisance at best and really presented no problem at all.\\But to answer your question directly -- AT THIS TIME the 9800 uses pure MP3 as its default music format. Only time will tell what will happen when Verizon sucks this phone into the V-Cast Music arena.
