Flip screen broken....

My husband's flip screen is broken. I bought his phone as a Christmas gift for him so it's only a few months old but I didn't have the option of getting him insurance. What can we do? I have insurance on mine though. We were thinking of trying to add insurance on his or trying to switch the part on our phones.

I dont think switching parts will work. But I have heard that as long as the CS Rep can call your phone then it is possible to have the insurance placed on the phone. Now by no means am I saying that this is the honest and moral thing to do but it hear it works.

Well I can't add insurance. I was told you can only do that until 15 days after you bought the phone. Any other ideas on how I can fix this? Would bringing it into the store be any help?

Is there any warranty from LG? It's less than 2 months old.

It had a warranty until the screen broke. Only manufacturer defects are covered. Verizon service centers are not allowed to open or repair the phones anymore. The only think you may be able to do is to send it to LG. It would be too expensive to worry about. Buying one full retail is the only thing you can do if you want to use that same model phone. But its always a good idea to get insurance on a high end phone.

Switch your phone # to his phone and his phone # to your phone.

All features including insurance, are tied to the phone #, not the phone.

Enjoy!

Use the online ESN changer so that you don't get hit with a $20 fee for having them do it.

Enjoy!
