i use bit pim, i havnt tried the others but bit pim does everything i need it to do, main things i like about it.
1.allows to u make custom ring tones using MP3's or other media and lets u set in and out points.
2.allows u to load custom walpaper onto ur phone and
3.very easy interface.
4.there other reason but im tiiired...ha...

I also use BitPim. When using v0.8.02 to "get" ringtones from the 9800, I find that there is a blank display on the Ringers Tab after the "get process" completes. What do you find?

what i have seen that it does is it adds them from default to the ringers section...
