Voice Mail

Has anyone been able to set up there speed dial for voice mail so that it automatically sends the password after dialing in?

I was able to do this with my v710 and e815 but the vx8100 and now my vx9800 are not doing it even though the everything is set up correctly.

Just in case you don't know I am talking about editing the voice mail speed dial entry so it looks like this *86P0000#1 (the four zeros being the password).

Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't know if it is different with the 9800...but with the 8100 you go under the "messaging" menu and it is the left soft key "settings" then "Edit Voice Mail #"

I am sure it is somewhat different but that may help a little.

It worked but not the same as the 8100.

Just added the pause and then the password.

Thanks for your help.

Go to menu > Messaging > Scroll to option (5) Voicemail > with option "5" highlighted press the left soft key under settings on the bottom left corner of the screen > Select ALL Msg (1) by pressing ok >choose Voicemail # (4) by pressing ok...

Once there you will see *86, then press the right soft key under Pause. Choose Pause (2) and enter your password. After the first pause it's only necessary to enter your password, you do not need to enter the "1" since you are pressing speed dial "1" to access your voicemail. Hope this helps. : D

That has worked.

It seems that there is a difference when you dial by using the contacts list and when you press and hold 1 for speed dial for VM.

Thanks all for your help.
