Well two of the main differences between the 8100 and the 9800 is that the 9800 has the flip on the phone and the 8100 does not. Also the 9800 has the KWERTY keyboard, which is pretty nice as well. (another thing the 8100 lacks)

so your saying the 8100 doesn't have a flip?? what do you call it then?

Also it is a QWERTY keyboard, as in the first six letters in starting in the upper left hand of the keyboard.

More differences though would be that the 9800 has a business card reader that is used with the camera, you can get the wireless sync option with the 9800 also, if you e-mail a lot, and on the 9800 you don't have to flip it open to answer the call

I have gone through several phones over the last 3 months and I have had the opportunity to have both the 8100 and the 9800.

Ronmac: How did you get the Dial Up Networking [DUN] to work on the 9800 ? What username and pwd did you use ? Did you connect to the Laptop via BT or USB ?

Thanks!!

Rahul,

I am using an IPAQ with bluetooth and connecting it to the 9800 using the IPAQ's bluetooth wizard. Once they are paired, I am able to connect to the internet using my ISP's dial up telephone number. After about 15 seconds, I am connect ed and surfing the web on my IPAQ using the 9800 as a modem.

I LOVE IT!!!

Ron
