I feel that this fact should be CLEARLY SPECIFIED in the product information manual, on your website and also by Verizon Wireless.

You may very well be able to use a 1GB miniSD. However, 1GB is the maximum capacity of the card. 512MB is the maximum card memory capacity that will be supported by your handset. As such, any data stored above the 512MB of supported memory may not be recognized or accessible by the handset. Hence, you could experience problems transferring or viewing data that exceeds the supported capacity.

the MAX is only 1GB. until furthur notice, it is ONLY 1 GB
I have V02, and i have 640 MB of worth of videos and music. I can view it ALL. no problem.
there is no 512MB limit for store/access. there is 1 GB limit.
Various places you will find the "official" line from LG that the 9800 only supports a 512MB card.
By the same token other places you will find the "official" line from LG that the 9800 supports a 1GB card.
Then again you can find some reports of it working with a 2GB card.
I can tell you from personal experience that a 1 GB Sandisk will work -- as for the rest Caveat emptor....
