speaker work with phone closed?...
I tried the phone yesterday at the verizon store.....Someone had mentioned on the forum,that with the phone closed,using just the outside phone.....that the speakers could be heard.....we could not get the phone to do that.....and to me,to have to open the phone while driving to be able to use the speakerphone,is ridiculous....

If you were to read the other posts more closely, you would see that they said the speaker works while it's closed for the mp3 player...everyone else confirms that the speakerphone feature doesn't work with it closed.

thats what I couldn't figure out..esp after seeing the phone...how good is the volume(or sound quality) from the speakers closed when listening to the MP#3?....Thanks.///

As for driving with this phone and the speaker being ridiculous... BLUETOOTH. Hands-free, wire-free, and all voice command. It should be the only way you are allowed to use a phone while driving.

Yeah, but then there's another $50-$100 tacked on to the already $300 price tag! Come on, @ that price, you might as well start looking at Treo or Audiovox 6600

though,sometimes,I'll flip my 4500 open,listen on speaker while I'm stuck in traffic to messages,etc......

There is a trick, more or less a glitch. Headset plugged in and in use, open phone, turn on speaker, close phone, unplug headset 🙄 Rep from LG was at out center this week and showed it. Don't know if it will work the same on a BT headset though. The way he did it was with the wired set
