[ Plans w/VCAST & Mobile Web 2.0 ]
I'm getting this phone in about a week. I've never had a phone that I have used the web on.. just phone calls, text messaging, and Get It Now. So, this will be my first. I'm on a family share plan so I've got all of that straightened out.. what I'm wondering is what will I need to add to my plan to be able to use this at its fullest without being charged per minute. I want whatever I get to be unlimited. I'm not too knowledgable on the whole VCAST/Mobile Web 2.0 thing.. but I have seen that the VCAST is $15 per month and the Mobile Web 2.0 is $5 per month. Do I need to get both and pay $20 oer month or just get VCAST? If anyone could shed some light I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Just the vcast at 15/month. The mobile web at 5/month us unlimited web but what that really means is that it takes away from your minutes - its just unlimited access. The vcast plan does not affect ur minutes and is unlimited web. PLus i hear that with vcast and mobile web 2.0, its even a faster web browsing experience...

As far as I know (scroll below and read related posts) V-Cast doesn't affect any download speed except for V-cast products. On my 9800 whenever EVDO is available mobile web 2 runs very fast, when it's not, it runs on National Access dial up speed (slow).
So for browsing you need EVDO which is offered free.
You do have a point that with $15/mnt you get unlimited already included Mobile Web 2. But don't do it just because you think you are getting a faster download. S
