Doesnt have an outlook client or anything like a windows enabled device (PDA) might have. But you can access your corporate (Outlook, Lotus, etc) mail with wireless sync - but it does cost 19.99/month.

Ok, So I would be able to snyc the phone with my work (outlook) e-mail along with my hotmail account? And I can surf the web?

Surfing the web no problem so long as you paythe mobile web fee which allows you access..

AS far as wireless sync email is concerned, if you pay the fee, you are able to download the email client for the device. You then set up a wireless sync account with verizon and download redirector software which sits on your desktop and allows your email to be fwd and accessible from your 9800. The program syncs both ways so if you erase an email on the device, it erases it from your email.

The only thing you have to be careful of is some tupes of email settings in corp environments which use layers of security which interfere with email syncing. If you call verizon and say you want to try wireless sync to see if it works, they will let you do s...

Thanks so much for all the great information. This was my first posting and to be honest I was a little worried that someone would write back and say I was an idiot. I find that some people on this forum can be rude so, again I want to say thanks for helping me understand.

so when i set up the outlook.......will it take all of my contact info and put it on the phone as a contact?????? how much, if any, of the notes are saved?

will my phone book from my 6100 transfer to my 9800, then show up on my desktop when i sync it with outlook??

I got them ordered but waiting on pins and needles........
