wireless sync is not $20 per month, besides if it had a html browser, people would complain that the screen is too small... manufacturers cant win either way..

From what I understand, if you have VCAST, Wireless Sync is included.

Ok, it's you who needs to shut the hell up. You have been rude, disparaging and a downright a-hole. We're all providing information AS WE KNOW IT. Whether it's right or wrong won't be known until this phone is released because things can change until the very last second. All of the information posted on here is as people learn it. The way I understand it, VCAST will give you unlimited Wireless Sync access for this handset. But that's how I understand it, that's what I've read in the documentation and that can change before the phone's even released.

Frankly, aside from you, this has been one of the most calm, polite and well-informed threads, unlike the VX-8100 and other threads and I actually don't mind checking this thread regula...

Wireless Sync Email is $19.95/mo. I confirmed this with VZW, and also when you access it the first time on the phone it warns you that it will cost this much. If you subscribe to VCast ($15/mo.) you get unlimited access (does not count against your airtime minutes); otherwise, you use up your airtime minutes.

I just orderd this phone as no store within 35 miles has one. 🙄 I asked for V-Cast because it is cheaper now, than if i waited.

This phone as i understand it will sync with Outlook.
But ahh.. another 19.95, to get my mail? I dunno if i will keep the vcast if it does not make getting my mail possible.

Maybe i will pay it for one month just to see how well it does. and report here with the findings.

You can always forward your e-mail to a free account, like Yahoo, then just check it through Mobile Web.

I have a comcast email account so i could access it as easily as with a yahoo account but while @ work acessing a computer is not always convienient. So if mobile web is a free add-on or is part of V Cast then i will do that. It wuld just be cool to get notified with a ring when a note drops in. 🙂

Yahoo does not recognize the LG VX9800.
I asked mobile web Yahoo. they said they do not know when they will be adding this phone.

As time has proven it won't be very long. the technology moves pretty fast and this 9800 looks very cool and i expect there will be a lot of support due to the 1 gig ram available for it and what programming can do in that space.

What do you mean Yahoo doesn't recognize it? I have used Mobile Web on it and have gone to Yahoo and checked e-mail, use SMS, etc. It works fine.

My yahoo email and yahoo browsing works dandy on the 9800...I did notice that from the Yahoo Mobile user site you cannot choose the 9800 but it does not prevent you from connecting via the 9800.

Would anyone be willing to share the url, username and password for this vzlearn, so the rest of us can see? But only if it is a generic un and pw not user specific. I would not want anyone getting in trouble. Thank you in advace I am really excited about this phone!

It is NOT $20 a month for Wireless Sync. There are some misinformed people on this board. It is ONLY $10 a month, and $15 for VCAST which will give you unlimited time for push e-mail, w/out VCAST, it will be MOU for push, that is why it isn't true push meaning as soon as you get a message it puches immediately, it is set up for timed intervals or manual pull.

The $5 wireless sync code is for per KB users of the VZW smartphones this wireless sync client for the 9800 is a Get-It-Now version and will most likely have different subscription costs and slightly different capabilities I'm sure. But if its $15 for Vcast which has unlimited data use and $10 or even $20 for Wireless Sync, it'll still be cheaper than the $44.99 Unlimited Data Plan costs of the other PDA phones which include Wireless Sync

$10/mo for the Get It Now version of Wireless Sync. With VCAST, it'll be unlimited data usage so no extra charges for the data transfer, without VCAST, it'll cost Minutes of Usage (MOU) for the data transfer. Unless you have a buttload of email, with the speed of BroadbandAccess (Ev-DO), it shouldn't be too much of a wear on the minutes. 🙂

For the love of God. I read the same thing in the same damn training guide that said 19.99 for the wireless sync. Yes, it's probably wrong because that is a ridiculous amount of money for that esp with VCast added too but he was still right when he said it. Not our faults that there are a million of conflicting reports on the damn phone. Can't we all just relax a bit?

Someone earlier commented that it is possible that VZW is doing regional pricing. The pricing points I've seen were for the West Area. But I could easily be wrong, or VZW could easily change their pricing before the phone's even released. God knows its happened many times before. So, as always, take the information you read with a grain of salt as nothing is certain until the phone is released.

We must be speaking of the wireless sync feature. I just downloaded it yesterday and set it up on my phone and it did say 19.99 as the price per month. We were also trained that it costs 19.99 per month. And yes, you should chill a bit.
