Just talked to Verizon Wireless VZGlobal tonight and they offered me the i830 for $519. Before I buy, I am trying to see how good it is. Can I really get my email on it?

Has anyone ever had any problems with this phone inadvertently accessing the internet? I spoke with a Verizon rep. that ask my company to write a letter taking responsibility for inadvertent charges with the pay as you go plan. He states that he's seen several cases where the user would receive bills in excess of 2K for inadvertently accessing the web. I think this is bogus and he is just pushing the $64.99 unlimited access charge. I've never heard of anyone having to write a letter before, you buy the phone, arrange for the plan and if you go over the minutes YOU PAY no letters!?

I don't need unlimited access all the time I only need access when I'm out of town or country, in-between the use of a real network.

i have the i730 and i havent had problems with accidently accessing the internet...i have the pay as you go plan and i did not need to write any letter. I chose the pay as you go plan because I got this phone for all its other features and I hadn't planned on accessing the internet on a regular basis with it. However I gotta say if you plan on using the internet on your phone monthly id recommend a plan other the pay as you go...i accessed 2 web sites one time and it cost me almost $30 for that month.

Professor?

I keep hearing about release dates on this phone and I can't really find out much data on it. What is going on with this phone? How good is the phone and is it still worth considering?

Never had a PDA and am interested in this also as a phone that could work on Travel in Mexico City....

Thanks!
